About the artist:
Sophie Walraven was educated at the art academy ArtEZ in Arnhem. Her work can mostly be found in Amsterdam, on the streets and in many exhibitions. She has participated in many national and international exhibitions, projects and art fairs. Her work is included in private and institutional collections like The Amsterdam court of justice, Tjongerschans collection in Heerenveen, Art Room in Den Helder, the town of Boxtel and Friends of Singer Museum in Laren.
This is what my work is about: I show the happy side, I chase true joy and energy and at the same time vulnerability and honesty. It is very double. But art is easily unmasked when it is not sincere. My work is about reality and the fragile bright side.
